Rafa Benitez - An analysis..

the question every Liverpool supporter is asking...what in the world is Rafa Benitez doing..this year..everybody expected to challenge for the title..having finished so agonisingly close to it last year. Liverpool find themselves struggling to finish in the top four, and are already out of champions league. This is a really frustrating situation to all of us LFC fans.Most of the fans want to see Rafa sacked. But we are not in the position financially to sack him as it would cost around 20 million pounds.
Rafa has been making mistake after mistake this year. And he has made a complete fool of himself by signing Alberto Aquilani, a midfielder who was supposed to replace Xabi Alonso in the side and has not yet started a single game. His defensive approach has always angered us. We are Liverpool..the greatest club in history, and we made that history by winning trophies. Not by drawing games. i think Rafa is a stubborn fool. He keeps on playing strange formations by playing defensive midfielders. barring Torres, he has bought only mediocre players. His love for Lucas is beyond me. i think his past success was a fluke, luck you can say. i will write more about Rafa later. i hope that by next time he has been replaced or has been cured of his love for mediocre talent. let us hope he buys either Van nistelrooy or Luca Toni and starts playing a 4-4-2 formation with gerrard, kuyt. benayoun and aqilani in the midfiled. come on now Rafa..

MURALITHARAN IS A CHUCKER

what do you think about Muralitharan? if Ranatunga had not used every trick in the book to save him he would not have been playing cricket now. It is true that most off spinners bend their elbows while bowling. they used to do it even before the controversy regarding Murali. And to be very frank the Doosra cannot be bowled without bending your elbow. my friends who have played cricket will understand what i am saying. And what did the ICC do? they sent murali for an action check-up..and there very clearly, Murali bowled without bending his elbow as much. And the excuse is that he has got a natural deformity in his right arm. Well? they allowed 15 -20 degree bending of the arm while bowling. What rubbish! the guy clearly uses his wrists and elbows to make the ball turn..it is sheer injustice. and when other off spinners do that they get reported. Honestly i feel Murali's wickets should be halved. Because he has taken his wickets with an unnatural advantage. He does not deserve more than 300 test wickets. He stands no where in comparison to Shane Warne who i think is the greatest bowler of all time in any form of the game, followed by Wasim Akram.

Should Sachin Tendulker play T20's ?

i am a big fan of Sachin. I feel he is wasting his body by playing in the T20 tournaments like IPL . What is more important is that he should be fit for test matches. A true cricketer and a true cricket fan judges a player on the basis of his performances in tests. He can play in the ODI's as he wants to play in the world cup and hopefully make us win. But I value tests more than anything. Ricky Ponting is fit enough to play for another 5 years it seems. I and most of Sachin's fans would not like to see Ricky overtake Sachin. Ricky very wisely doesn't waste his body on worthless T20's. These players like Sachin and Ricky are too good for the T20's. T20 is basically meant for dashers. Look what T20 has done to players like Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma. i like the fun of the IPL but it should rather take place only once a year and certainly the number of T20's has to be reduced. But i don't think BCCI will think like that. They are putting revenue above quality of cricket and unfortunately this IPL will ruin many test level players.
